During an elopement beneath the cliffs of the Arbor House Inn B&B I stopped the shoot and stared straight at the bride. I smiled at her and said, “You’ve been holding out on me.” I pointed to her ring finger and grinned. I had already taken all my detail shots before the ceremony that include the rings, shoes, flowers, invitations and other details, but as I looked at the bride’s hand before me now I realized she had only given me the wedding band and not the actual engagement ring with the blingy stone. She sheepishly grinned and admitted she didn’t like taking it off. I laughed as I teased her,”I understand that gorgeous rock is difficult to part with, but why on earth would you not want THAT in your wedding photos?! Hand it over, sister.” And so I embarked on a re-shoot, this time with the full set of bling.
