The Great Beyond – Black Lava Beach Awaits

As an extension of last week’s Black & Wednesday photo, this one was taken the day before my best friend’s wedding as the bridal party hit the black lava beach in Kauai to relax and enjoy the views before the big day. After hiking in and ready to hit the beach, we had our choice of going right on the white sands where all the other people were, or going left to the forbidden lava rock tidal pools to explore the great beyond. Of course, the boys chose to go left.
