South Fork Engagement Smiles

Engagement Smiles in South Fork, Colorado

Seeing a girl light up when she gets engaged is one of life’s smile-worthy moments. The heart melts when a boy and a girl are in love, and even more so when they decide to make it forever. This engagement session is particularly special. I’ve been shooting her family portraits for several years and to be a part of this special moment is quite a treasure. I looooooooove seeing her this happy! Congratulations you two.

Colorado Mountain Engagement

Rings and bling tend to come out around the holiday season. It’s engagement central this time of year, and this Colorado mountain engagement is one to be celebrated. This cutie couple tied into their country roots, and with him being a goat farmer, where else would engagement photos be done than with an old barn! I tend to shoot more intimate, close-up shots but this was just too cute not to capture. Maybe some of those moments will be in next week’s post. (wink wink)

Hide-e-holes

Most photographers have their favorite locations and go-to poses that make for tried-and-true photos that clients love. I have mine. At a certain bed and breakfast in Southern Colorado lies a corner with a hide-e-hole that I almost always stick my couples in. This corner is one of my favorites to shoot elopements–it’s a hot tub canopy that has curlie-cue ironwork detail that is perfect for some playful moments. It’s kind of like my own personal version of mistletoe.

Faces of Colorado – Meet Author Debbie Drum

Debbie Drum is author of Read Better Faster and Internet Business Insights

Meet Debbie Drum. Technically a New Yorker, Debbie and I played among the brick and urban feel of a hotel at a conference in Denver between her speaking engagements. Looking for a more industrial feel, we played among the brick and iron in our “faux New York studio.” This Amazon best selling author of Read Better Faster and Internet Business Insights can often be found in online videos and tutorials, but mostly I’ll remember her telling her author stories while sitting at the hotel bar. Cheers to city girls.

Meet Colorado Horror Author Bobby Crew

Meet Bobby. One of the pleasures I have when shooting authors is finding out what type of genre they write. I’ve met romance writers, children’s authors, business gurus and spiritual guides of every religion imaginable. This hand of this particular author pens horror stories.  I have to admit that Bobby just may be my first horror author, and hopefully there will be many more like him in the future.
